Instrumental Music Tutor – Orchestral Strings
Barnsley Music Service are seeking to recruit an Orchestral Strings tutor to work with an outstanding team of music tutors and amazing young people. We deliver an inclusive programme of instrumental/ and vocal tuition, creating inspiring musical opportunities for children and young people.
Pay: Unqualified teacher Pay Scale 3-6
This role involves:
- Teaching Violin/Viola/’Cello and Double Bass to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout the borough
- Directing a String orchestra on a Friday late afternoon at our music centre
- Working two days per week (including a Friday)
- Permanent, salaried position on Teacher’s terms and conditions (unqualified scale 3-6) with pay during school holidays
- Term Time working pattern
- Access to teacher’s pension
- Corporate laptop and support
