Kingston Music Service (KMS) is seeking talented and enthusiastic Freelance Music Practitioners to join their team in September. We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach lower strings or piano but are keen to build up the panel ready for September.
Teaching opportunities with KMS include working in schools and music centres across the borough, teaching individually, to whole classes and directing ensembles.
We are looking for gifted and committed musicians who possess a passion for music education and the ability to inspire a love of music in all students. Successful candidates will achieve this by utilizing varied repertoire and pedagogy.
In return, KMS provides a supportive environment with continuous professional development, including INSET throughout the year, opportunities for shadowing, training, and a range of growth opportunities to expand teaching experience.
About Kingston Music Service
KMS is the lead provider of music education in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, acting as a vital hub for musical growth across the community. KMS offers a range of music activities for young people and adult learners at home, in school and at four music centres across the borough. We run a variety of concerts and workshops including our annual singing Festival and holiday courses. Our mission is to make music accessible to everyone, supported by our instrument hire scheme and bursaries, ensuring that every student has the chance to develop a love for music.
KMS is a Local Authority service and, as a member of South West London Music Ltd, receives core funding from Arts Council England. Working with various partners, KMS endeavours to create joined up music education provision in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames.
