FAA Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health

Music Mark have teamed up with Soundcastle once again, this time to deliver a Level 1 qualification in Mental Health First Aid.

Awareness of the importance of supporting mental health is growing nationally, so there’s no better time to:

• Raise awareness of mental health within your organisation and beyond
• Promote wellbeing in your workplace
• Create a positive and supportive environment for your team
• Challenge stigma around mental health
• Understand factors that can impact mental health

This Level 1 introductory qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health warning signs, break down stigma and start a supportive conversation. Learners will:

• Understand what mental health is and why people develop mental health conditions
• Understand the role of a First Aider for Mental Health
• Understand how to provide support for someone presenting with a mental health condition
• Know how to recognise and manage stress
• Know how to recognise a range of mental health conditions
• This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).
