Conducting Course for Music Educators
Led by Royal Northern College of Music Professors, this course is a fantastic way to sample the world class conducting programmes which the Royal Northern College of Music is renowned for. A feature of the courses is the absolute focus on the practical experience of conducting real live musicians.
This course is aimed at those working in music education, or training to do so. It is also suitable for those looking for a solid technical grounding, who may not yet have sufficient experience for our more advanced Masterclasses.
The October workshop is with Derbyshire County Wind Band. In January, we will explore specifics of working with strings, winds, and brass with small Royal Northern College of Music ensembles. The May workshop is with orchestras and ensembles from Junior Royal Northern College of Music.
Use is made of our ConductIT online resource and video review of the participants conducting activity takes place during the course.
