During placement, students are tasked to not only observe teaching, but to get stuck in delivering parts of or complete lessons, gradually building their confidence and expertise as an instrumental or vocal tutor capable of teaching one-to-one, small group and whole class ensembles. Students therefore end up ready to enter the music hub workforce, apply for PGCE study, or set up their own private music teaching practice.
