Flashmob toolkit

This document is a step-by-step guide to help you plan and stage a flashmob on 21 June, Make Music Day.

Everyone loves a flashmob. Make Music Day is all about bringing music out on to the streets and surprising the public. Flashmobs are therefore a great way to get involved on the day.

This toolkit has been put together with the help of Voluntary Arts, ABRSM and Music in Offices.

Next Step

As well as toolkit for planning your own Flashmob, there are a number of other resources for Make Music Day, including:

EVENT PLANNING TOOLKIT: This is our main event planning document to help plan, prep and stage your event.

RURAL MUSIC TOOLKIT: Our partners at NYMAZ have put together a toolkit document that advises on how to present music in rural areas to the rest of the world.

LIVE STREAMING TOOLKIT: Also in association with NYMAZ is a toolkit document that discusses how to live stream your musical performance on the day.

MARKETING RESOURCES: We have put together some resources to help you generate your own promotional materials for your Make Music Day event. You can find logos, photos and customisable flyer and poster designs.

LIBRARIES TOOLKIT: Make Music Day is a great opportunity to celebrate libraries, give local people a performance opportunity, bring new people through the doors and showcase the wealth of information and resources inside. In partnership with Libraries Connected we’ve created a toolkit to help you put on music events in libraries.

EVENT PRODUCTION TEMPLATES: We have created some template documents to help you plan, prepare and produce your event.
