‘This Is Not A Rehearsal’ – Call for Youth Participants

1st March 2024

Green text reading 'This is not a rehearsal'. The L is connected to a record player with an Earth pattern over it.

For our 2024/25 campaign, This Is Not A Rehearsal, we are focusing on the Climate Crisis. More important than ever, it is a topic that will affect all of us in our daily lives, including how young people access music education.

The Climate Crisis will affect future generations and it is important that the campaign reflects the needs and concerns of young people today. We are therefore inviting notes of interest from people aged 16-25 to join our Steering Group. This group has an important role in helping to shape the direction of the campaign over the coming year. Meetings are online and will be roughly every two months, lasting an hour, and a fee will be offered to attendees.

As well as input into the campaign itself, during the year there is also the opportunity for young participants to:

  • Get insight into how a campaign is developed
  • See how areas such as marketing, events and fundraising work
  • See how an organisation like Music Mark works
  • Attend Music Mark events including the Annual Conference (18th & 19th November, Nottingham)

As an organisation, Music Mark is still at the beginning of its own journey towards Net Zero. You can read our Statement on the Climate Crisis, which includes Green Links and Resources, here.

If you are interested in joining the Steering Group as a youth participant, please fill in this application form. Applications close on Friday 8th March at 5pm. Interested participants under the age of 18 should share this letter with a parent or guardian to give them more information about the campaign.

You are welcome to submit your application in another form (including audio or video) if you would prefer to do so. Please send these, or any questions you may have, to

Please help us spread the word about this opportunity by sharing this flyer with young people you know or work with!
