New Guidance released on Child Safety and AI Image Manipulation

As digital technologies continue to evolve, safeguarding approaches must evolve alongside them. New guidance from The UK Online Harms Early Warning Working Group aims to address the emerging risks and challenges for education settings around the capture, use and sharing of images of Children and Young People. Specifically, this guidance aims to address the risks around the use of pictures of Children and Young People on educational websites being manipulated to create child abuse images with AI technology.
The resource offers practical advice to help settings review existing practice, strengthen safeguarding arrangements, and make informed decisions while continuing to celebrate the participation and achievement of their pupils.
