Music for All’s Award Round 4 of 2026 is NOW OPEN

Music for All has opened its latest awards round, offering financial grants, instruments and music-making support to individuals, schools and community groups across the UK. The charity runs several award rounds each year, with each one responding to different areas of need. View an overview of the 2026 award round dates.

For 30 years, Music for All has worked to improve access to music making and help people experience its educational, social, physical and wellbeing benefits. It supports music makers who face financial, social or geographical barriers, as well as organisations creating opportunities in their communities. In 2025, the charity distributed 323 instruments and more than £88,565 in cash grants through four award rounds.

UK-based, not-for-profit schools and community groups may apply where their work brings music-making opportunities to their communities and meets the relevant category criteria. Individuals based in the UK may also apply, or another person may apply on their behalf, provided the application explains the barriers they face and how an award would support their musical development. The current round includes the categories below:

For school and community projects:

• Financial Award for groups working with children aged 0-4 years
• Electro-Acoustic guitars (up to 5 per application)
• Acoustic guitars (up to 12 per application)
• Ukuleles (up to 30 per application)
• Pbuzz instruments (up to 30 per application)
• Licenses to Atruria Analog Lab Pro Software

For individuals:

• Electro-Acoustic guitars
• Acoustic guitars
• Learn to Play award (for those who have attended the Learn to Play Weekend 2026)

Applicants should read the relevant eligibility criteria and frequently asked questions carefully before starting an application. Each application should clearly set out the need for support, the barriers currently limiting access to music making and the difference the requested grant or instruments would make. Applications for these award categories must be submitted by 12 noon on 30 November 2026.
