Hal Leonard Europe and Musicroom.com support Youth Music with #Buytogive campaign

15th September 2021

Leading music company Hal Leonard Europe (HLE) has announced that it is continuing its support for Youth Music, the UK’s leading music charity, via its Musicroom.com webstore.

Throughout September, HLE is donating 1% of sales of selected instruments, gear and accessories from Musicroom’s range to Youth Music with #Buytogive, which will run as part of Musicroom’s annual Back to School campaign. The September campaign will be the third iteration of #Buytogive, which raises money for Youth Music to invest in grassroots music-making projects nationwide.

“At Hal Leonard Europe, our vision is for lifelong music making for everyone, and Youth Music’s funding provides vital opportunities to start young people on their musical journeys. The unprecedented disruption of the last 18 months has had a tumultuous effect on music programmes in and out of schools and Youth Music’s support at this time is critical. We’re very proud to continue our partnership with Youth Music as headline partner for the Youth Music Awards and to repeat the #Buytogive campaign.”  Tom Farncombe, Business Development Director, Hal Leonard Europe

“The pandemic has had a devastating financial impact on grassroots music projects we invest in, nationwide. Yet young people facing barriers in their lives need their support now more than ever. Through #BuyToGive, Musicroom.com customers will literally help more of these young people to make, learn and earn in music.”
Matt Griffiths, CEO, Youth Music

About Youth Music
Youth Music’s vision is that one day, all children and young people will be able to have musical lives. We’re a national charity investing in music-making projects which support children and young people aged 0-25 to develop personally and socially as well as musically. We work particularly with those who don’t get to make music because of who they are, where they live, or what they’re going through. Every year, Youth Music funds more than 300 projects nationwide, supporting around 83,000 children and young people to make music, develop their skills, and progress on their chosen paths. We campaign alongside young people to advocate for those who are missing out, to invest where it’s needed most, and to drive change in the music industries and education. Youth Music is funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People’s Postcode Lottery, and support from donors, partners and fundraisers.
