“If there’s a right thing to do, then we will do it and we’ve always worked that way,”
Club Europe Group Travel MD, Tim Johnson

Club Europe Group Travel, a specialist family-run school and youth travel operator has been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic to support their teachers and music leaders, many of whom have had to cancel their 2020 tours.

Based in Wandsworth Common, South West London, Club Europe was started by Lynne and Ian Johnson in 1980. Today Tim and his wife Fiona are proud to still be running this family-owned company with a staff of around 25.

Known in the industry for providing high-quality school travel experiences for young people, and a one-to-one service to music leaders, the company have stuck to this ethos throughout the pandemic.

Managing Director Tim Johnson said.  “We knew from the beginning of the crisis that our teachers and music leaders would be massively impacted and needed our support. We took a head-on approach. I have personally been in touch with all our teachers and leaders who were due to travel with us this year and I am still available to all of them at any time.

“We worked on a case by case basis; where the group was unable to defer their trip, we worked with them to ensure they got the best outcome, issuing then with the maximum refund that was available. In all cases, we came to a joint, mutual decision on the best way forward.

“We like to think that this human approach has strengthened our relationships with our music leaders.

“When the world re-opens, there’ll be lots of questions and worries from parents. We will support them, as we’ve always done, every step of the way.”
