Extra incentive for graduates to become teachers in ‘key subjects’

The Government is increasing tax-free bursaries to encourage graduates to begin teacher training in “key subjects”, including maths, physics, chemistry, computing or languages. Music is the only arts subject included in the scheme, but the bursary amount has been upheld and will now be limited to graduates who achieve a 2:1 or higher.
