Susannah Robert

Lecturer, St Mary’s University, Twickenham London

“A graduate of The University of Roehampton, Susannah has taught for 15 years in primary schools in West London.  During this time, she has taken on the role of music co-ordinator, and literacy co-ordinator. She was also a leading literacy teacher for Westminster providing a model of good practice in the teaching of literacy for teachers across the borough.

Most recently Susannah has worked as a music teacher at an infant school. This role enabled her to develop skills in an area of teaching and learning about which she feels passionate.

Susannah also works for the Richmond Music Trust as an associate music teacher, running primary choirs, and Wider Opportunities vocal sessions. She is also involved in the annual Richmond Singing Festival.

In her role at St Mary’s, Susannah aims to make the teaching of creative subjects such as music and drama as accessible and enjoyable for teachers, as they are for pupils!”
