Simon Lock

Music Education Management, West Sussex

“I am inspired by the leadership of creative people, making connections which spark remarkable conversations and bringing about partnerships which lead to real change and opportunity for young people through music.

Empowering individuals and organisations to challenge perceptions and concepts, exploring creative solutions to traditional barriers, is key to my philosophy for ensuring musical, educational and organisational success.

I believe in the value of peer-led organisational progress, where the skill and talent of individuals are pooled to bring about targeted and focussed achievement. I deplore waste, and strive to ensure every minute makes a difference.

With a background as a performing and teaching musician and over 10 years experience in music education management, I am committed to genuine inclusion and access for all children, young people and adults, and the power of music in the community.”
