Katherine studied music at Huddersfield where she concentrated on the French horn and composition. Afterwards she completed her PGCE in Birmingham and has been teaching ever since, both as a classroom and peripatetic teacher.

Her experiences include working with babies and toddlers, teaching primary class music and secondary school music including GCSE and A’ Level as well as individual and small group lessons.

She now works full time for her own music education business, Mostly-Music. She is trained as an Arts Award Advisor at all levels. She continues to work in schools and her private pupils range from ages 7 to adults in their retirement. She currently conducts the St. Barbara’s Church Choir and is the assistant conductor for the Heart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra.
