Anna Bull is a senior lecturer in the School of Education and Sociology at the University of Portsmouth. Her research builds on her previous career as a pianist and music educator in New Zealand and Scotland to explore inequalities in classical music education. Her book, ‘Class, control and classical music’ is published by Oxford University Press in July 2019. She has run events with the music education sector examining abuse within music education, and her research interests in this area also span sexual harassment in higher education institutions and specialist music education institutions.
