For more than 25 years Out of the Ark Music has been providing the very best singing resources to primary schools and early years settings in the UK. We specialise in creating memorable, catchy songs, which are fun and easy to sing, and most importantly that children just love! From assembly songbooks and topic-related plays, to nativities and musicals, each title provides new and innovative ways to teach key topics and ideas through songs – and with our innovative Words on Screentm software, you don’t have to be a music specialist to use our resources!

We are looking for teachers who share our passion and ethos, believe in the power of singing to change lives and have the energy and enthusiasm to share good practice. Working as a workshop leader for Out of the Ark Music you’ll have the opportunity to make a wider impact and to help us put singing at the heart of every school. You will deliver all the workshops in our current, highly successful offering, and help us develop content for future training and CPD.

You will:
• Be able to draw on your own primary level classroom experience to inspire and motivate others
• Believe firmly in the importance of enabling all primary teachers (including non-specialists) to engage with music delivery
• Be keen to contribute actively to Out of the Ark’s wider vision for education
• Be driven to share your passion with others
• Ideally be able to offer some degree of flexibility regarding working days (as agreed)

Main purpose of the role
• Deliver Out of the Ark Music workshops in line with the Out of the Ark Music ethos (quality, relevant, accessible to all, vibrant, fun and full of energy) and demonstrate the breadth of our resources highlighting suitability for music specialists and non-music specialists
• Promote singing and its benefits through the delivery of high quality workshops using Out of the Ark Music products
• Provide professional expertise as a workshop leader/trainer to teachers in schools
• Promote Out of the Ark Music as the leading UK provider of singing resources for ages 3 – 11
• Promote and develop (in conjunction with the Education Team) Out of the Ark Music workshops with Music Hubs/Services and within other opportunities such as conferences, exhibitions and schools
• Actively engage with potential customers of workshops/CPD and source leads to ensure continued booking of events throughout the school year
• Contribute to the on-going development of workshops dependent on customers’ needs
