Woodwind Instrumental Music Teacher

£23.46 - £24.40 per hour

Initially 7 to 15 hours, with potential to expand and build up other teaching opportunities.
You will be flexible and willing to commit to working for up to 36 weeks of the year, during and after school hours is essential, and potentially weekends too.
An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks will be required for this role.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and committed woodwind teacher. The teacher will be able to teach clarinet, saxophone and flute students from beginners up to at least grade 3 standard as well as being able to offer advanced tuition I at least one woodwind instrument. You will join our thriving team of music tutors, and will be charged with teaching young musicians, and groups of varying ability in schools. Our current vacancy would be to particularly cover teaching in Mid and East Surrey areas.

You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons as well as set appropriate learning objectives for your pupils. You may also be involved in projects helping to develop new and exciting ways to promote music lessons in Surrey.
We are looking for a candidate who:
• Holds a recognised music diploma, degree, or other recognised qualification.
• Possesses a specialist knowledge of their chosen instrument and is able to perform to a high standard.
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Is aware of current initiatives in the current UK music education system.
