Hillingdon Music Hub delivers whole class, group and individual tuition to children across the borough.

Working in different schools (mainly Primary) within Hillingdon, Whole Class Music Teachers will work within a framework provided by Hillingdon Music Hub.

Our Whole Class scheme will inspire classrooms of students to develop their skills on a musical instrument, starting from the beginning, and developing skills so that students take their music-making to higher levels, including our small group tuition offer.

We will be teaching a range of instruments including recorders, clarinets, ukuleles and simplified easy-to-learn instruments like the pbuzz and the dood.

Lessons will be designed also to increase students musical awareness and knowledge of music at large.

The post is a sessional contract on an hourly rate of £18.49 (non-qualified teachers) or £23.07 (qualified teachers – PGCE, BEd or equivalent)

The ideal candidates are musicians with experience of teaching music to large groups of students, Your enthusiasm and fervour for music will inspire children and help them enjoy what will in most cases be their first experience of instrumental music making.

Teachers can come from any instrumental specialism, as there is a variety of instruments we will use for learning. A critical skill is confidence in classroom management.
