Voice Teacher

£25.08 per hour plus teachers' pension

Required from January 2020, a Voice Teacher to join the successful Musica Kirklees team, predominantly working 3 hours, directing both our adult and our youth choir’s at Musica’s Shelley music centre on a Saturday morning. There will be an opportunity to increase these hours during the week following pupil recruitment and promoting well-being.

Required from January 2020, a Voice Teacher to join the successful Musica Kirklees team, predominantly working 3 hours, directing both our adult and our youth choir’s at Musica’s Shelley music centre on a Saturday morning. There will be an opportunity to increase these hours during the week following pupil recruitment and promoting well-being. Additionally, an interest in developing and building an early years/baby and toddler music class at the centre would be desirable.

A passion for widening access to music for everyone, a proven track record of excellence, a vision for inspiring people to learn to sing and the ability to motivate young people to achieve their potential are all essential. This position will be hourly paid £25.08 per contact hour (plus teachers’ pension).

A full driving licence and access to transport is desirable for this role, however if an applicant does not hold a driving licence due to a disability but is otherwise suitable for the role, Musica Kirklees is committed to making reasonable adjustments to the timetable and your application will still be considered.

At Musica Kirklees we have over 70 members of staff and five music centres where we provide music tuition in a variety of genres, from orchestral to popular music including instruments such as Brass, Guitars, Keyboards, Percussion, Strings and Woodwind. However, it isn’t all about instruments; we also provide singing lessons.
