Bolton Music Service (Greater Manchester Music Hub) is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Vocal Teacher. The ideal candidate will be able to teach singing in primary classroom and choirs, provide high quality vocal lessons in secondary schools and lead Music Centre choral groups. There will be a specific focus on the development of boys singing and encouraging more boys to participate in a range of choirs. The successful candidate will make a key contribution to the work of the Vocal Team at Bolton Music Service and will have the chance to direct a range of vocal and choral projects.

You will be an experienced singer with the ability to teach singing across a range of genres. You will have experience of working with young singers in primary and secondary schools, in classes and in groups, and will have some experience of leading and supporting choirs. You will be very skilled at engaging young people through your own singing voice and also through your musical personality. You will make very positive relationships with colleagues in the music service and in schools and will embrace the opportunity to work alongside other experienced teachers. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will engage positively with pupils, parents, teachers, school leaders and partners.

Bolton Music Service is the lead organisation in the Greater Manchester Music Hub. You will have the chance to work for a vibrant local music service, currently expanding its offer to Blackburn with Darwen, along with the chance to interact with colleagues and partners from across the region. You will also have the chance to co-design new projects at the regional level and contribute to the regional training programme for schools and Music Service practitioners.
