Upper Strings Teacher

Teachers pay and conditions pro rata

Required from 1 January 2018, or earlier if possible, a part-time Upper Strings Teacher to join our team of over 45 dedicated and talented teaching staff at The East Riding Schools' Music Service.

You will teach individual, small group and whole class sessions (with the possibility of some curriculum support for suitably qualified applicants). A passion for widening access to music for all children, an excellent track record, and the ability to motivate young people to achieve their potential are all essential.

The service supports a large range of high quality musical extra-curricular activities including bands, orchestras, ensembles and workshop/masterclasses. You will have the opportunity to be involved (please note this will involve evening and weekend working and you will be paid for additional hours).

We welcome applications from both experienced and new teachers to the profession.  A current driving licence and vehicle are essential and a mileage allowance is paid.  Schools’ Music Service staff are employed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council on School Teachers Pay and Conditions.  Appointments will be made up to a maximum of point 6 on the main pay scale, with the opportunity to progress to the upper pay spine.
