Bolton Music Service (Greater Manchester Music Hub) is seeking to appoint an inspirational Upper Strings Teacher, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will teach small and large groups, all ages and abilities, and as part of our WCET programme. You will work alongside experience string teachers and will be involved in a wide range of creative projects and ensembles.

Bolton Music Service (Greater Manchester Music Hub lead) is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Upper Strings Teacher. The successful applicant will work in a range of schools teaching small and large groups, with children of all ages and abilities, and also teach full classes as required, as part of our Whole Class Instrumental Teaching programme. You will have the chance to work in Specialism teams to develop schemes of work, special projects and new resources, and will perform with your colleagues in live performances for schools. You will need to demonstrate a passion for teaching, musical expertise and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be involved in teaching in schools during the day and also the development of Bolton Music Service’s ensemble out-of-school programme at our evening music centres.

You will be an experienced string specialist with a passion for teaching and experience of teaching in primary and secondary schools, in classes and in groups, and will have some experience of leading and supporting string ensembles / orchestras. You will be very skilled at engaging young people through your own playing and also through your musical personality. You will make very positive relationships with colleagues in the music service and in schools and will embrace the opportunity to work alongside other experienced teachers. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will engage positively with pupils, parents, teachers, school leaders and partners.

Bolton Music Service is the lead organisation in the Greater Manchester Music Hub. You will have the chance to work for a vibrant local music service, working across Bolton and Blackburn with Darwen, along with the chance to interact with colleagues and partners from across the region. You will also have the chance to co-design new strings projects and contribute to the Bolton Music Service training programme for schools and Music Service practitioners.
