Tri-borough Music Hub hourly paid Instrumental and Vocal Tutors (Guitar / Lower Strings / Piano / Upper Strings / Vocal)

Hourly paid positions required to start from December 2017 / January 2018 in the disciplines of guitar, lower strings, piano, upper strings and vocal.

Instrumental / Vocal Tutors required to teach instrumental skills to students in 1-1, small group and / or whole-class and ensemble settings. Whole-class teaching placements require Tutors to work in partnership with a school class teacher or with another Tri-borough Music Hub Tutor as a Lead Tutor / Support Tutor pair.

Required Skills
Applicants should have prior, proven experience of teaching children or young people in 1-1, small group and / or whole-class and ensemble settings, with an understanding of the requirements for the preparation and planning of lessons for these teaching situations, target setting and assessing outcomes.

About Us
The Tri-borough Music Hub (comprising the local authorities of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster) was created in September 2012 and has rapidly gained a nationwide reputation for excellence of service delivery and an outstanding model of partnership work, winning multiple prestigious awards. The Tri-borough Music Hub has been increasing its engagement with schools within the Tri-borough area, and is experiencing an increased demand for its services from January 2018.
We wish to recruit skilled and enthusiastic Tutors for our Tutor pool, to create a large skill base from which teaching vacancies can be filled as they arise.
The Tri-borough Music Hub firmly believes in the Continuing Professional Development of its Tutors – high-quality termly CPD and other opportunities will be provided, and all Tutors are expected to fully engage with the training opportunities offered.

Rate of Pay
• Whole-class Lead Tutor / Large Ensemble Leader:
£33.62 per hour + paid prep / PPA time where relevant (£30 per hour + 12.07% Leave Entitlement Pay)
• Individual / Small Group Tutor / Whole-class Support Tutor / Small Ensemble Leader:
£30.26 per hour (£27 per hour + 12.07% Leave Entitlement Pay)

Instrumental / Vocal Tutors receive an as-and-when contract with The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and submit monthly claims for teaching work completed.

Please note applicants who do not provide all of the above at time of application will not be invited to interview.
