Specialist Support Officer

£24,015 – £25,957 pro rata

We are looking for a positive and creative person with some very down to earth skills to help run our wonderful music provision for young people in Harrow. You (together with a colleague) will be the main point of contact for Harrow Music Service – responding appropriately to queries and communications from school staff, parents, students, teachers and members of the public regarding music learning, timetables, programmes, instruments, events, payments and anything to do with the service HMS provides.

An exciting opportunity for a Specialist Support Officer to join the Harrow Council Environment & Culture Division. The post holder is required to provide efficient and effective specialist administrative support for Harrow Music Service which mainly provides instrumental teaching, projects and music events to schools and young people in Harrow. You, alongside a colleague, would also be the main point of contact for Harrow Music Service – responding appropriately to queries and communications from school staff, parents, students, teachers and members of the public regarding music learning, timetables, programmes, instruments, events, payments and anything to do with the service HMS provides.
There will be some aspects of the job that resemble project management and some that deal directly with customers together with the routine work from week to week that hold the service together.
