Leicester-Shire Music Education Hub is looking to contract a self-employed motivated and enthusiastic singing leader to coordinate and facilitate an exciting Boys Singing Project for both primary and secondary aged pupils. The role will include working and liaising with schools and teachers, leading singing activities and rehearsals and working alongside the music hub to support schools, parents and singers. There will also be the opportunity to work alongside nationally recognised choral specialists.

The project will run from mid-January 2017 until end of June 2017 and will be based in Leicester City. The successful applicant will have experience in leading singing groups and managing projects, including some experience of managing a small budget. A particular interest in boys singing would be an advantage. The successful applicant will manage their own time, be prepared to work flexibly including some after school and weekend work and dedicate approximately 20 days to meet the aims of the project. From September 2017 it is hoped that the successful applicant will run a newly formed Leicester City Trust Choir based at the King Power Stadium made up of project participants and others, this will be funded by the Music Trust.
