You would be joining a pool of Freelance Music Practitioners at Bristol Plays Music who provide inspiring leadership to young people and support the BPM education team in delivering high quality music tuition and music making opportunities to young people across Bristol.

The role of Freelance Senior Music Practitioner requires particular experience of enabling young musicians to achieve their potential and a high level of experience of leading, conducting and inspiring youth orchestras and ensembles.   You will have experience of teaching and playing to a high standard, excellent communication skills, including experience of liaising with a wide range of people, and practical experience of management strategies in teaching. You will also have experience in coordinating a variety of ensembles simultaneously.

You will have a passion and commitment for teaching music to children and young people from all backgrounds. We are an inclusive practice organisation and welcome applications from musicians experienced in working with children in challenging circumstances, including children in care and children with SEND.

All BPM Freelance Music Practitioners receive comprehensive and high quality CPD throughout the year, including training, networking and mentoring and we welcome applications from our existing pool of Freelance Music Practitioners.
