The award-winning Tri-borough Music Hub is seeking a temporary Senior Administrator to cover a team member’s maternity leave from July to December 2021.

This is a busy part-time position working two days per week at the Lyric Hammersmith plus Saturdays at a local secondary school (10 Saturdays in total). We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to work in conjunction with our Instrumental Provision Manager and other Administrators to meet the needs of our busy service.

The successful applicant will need to be skilled at managing their workload and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision. They will also have excellent customer service skills and be a good team player with excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills.

This position would suit a candidate looking for a varied role in education administration who enjoys working with children. As well as working at and administering our Saturday Music School, the role also has responsibility for helping at our after-school music centres plus general admin support, so being able to balance a varied workload is pivotal to this role.

Given the nature of our service, this role would be best suited to someone with experience in arts administration or from a musical or other creative background, however applications from all previous areas of work / study are welcome.

Who we are
The award-winning Tri-borough Music Hub (TBMH) is the lead organisation that oversees the delivery of music education in three west London boroughs – the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham; the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea; and the City of Westminster – working with schools, pupils and the workforce. It is a centralised Local Authority service which receives core funding from the Department for Education via the Arts Council England.

The TBMH Strategic Partners are two internationally renowned organisations – The Royal Albert Hall and The Royal College of Music. In addition, a dedicated and quality-assured group of delivery partner organisations work to meet the TBMH’s strategic aims.

Please note:
• Applications submitted via an agency will not be considered.
• Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 7 June or week commencing 14 June. The start date in the post is negotiable but will ideally be in early July to allow for a proper handover.
• The weekdays worked are negotiable and could be done as four afternoons, two full days or a combination of both. However it would be extremely beneficial for one day/afternoon to be Friday to allow for last-minute preparations for the following Saturday.
• An enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this post and the postholder will be expected to abide by legislation to ensure that all aspects of safeguarding are met.
