Regional Development Executive, London and South-East England

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Here at ABRSM, we are looking for a Regional Development Executive to join the Sales team within our Commercial department. This role represents an opportunity to help us work towards our goal of providing learners from all sectors of society with access to our world-class music education and assessment services.

The RDE will be joining an existing team, based around the UK. We are looking for someone based in London or South-East England who will forge links between ABRSM and local musical communities in the region. They will look for opportunities to promote ABRSM’s offer and build strong relationships with key decision makers, such as Heads of Music Hubs and Music Services, Heads of Music in independent schools and music retailers. They will be the first port of call for the provision of expert information about ABRSM products and services, for advice and for dissemination of ABRSM corporate messages. They will also provide essential market feedback to ABRSM colleagues to inform future developments.

The RDE will have the opportunity to travel regularly within the region to meet with key contacts and attend events (including regional trade shows and conferences, and INSET days) and would also be expected to come to the London office once a month for in-person meetings with colleagues.

The successful candidate will have sales/business development experience, preferably within the music sector, and must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of ABRSM’s offer. They will be a strong communicator with demonstrable evidence of having used influencing skills to create a tangible impact on uptake of products and services.
