Primary Music Co-ordinator
Camden’s Primary Music Co-ordinator supports music-making within and beyond the class-based curriculum, including the whole class instrumental programme, in almost all of our 40 primary schools and develops exciting projects with arts organisations and higher education providers.

Based near Mornington Crescent, but frequently visiting schools and settings all over the borough, Camden Music’s Primary Music Co-ordinator helps our schools deliver an excellent music education for all children by giving advice and support, arranging CPD, maintaining networks, and devising in delivering borough events and festivals. The postholder works closely with secondary colleagues to promote good KS2/3 transition in music, leads on singing in the borough works closely with professional partners such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Kinetika Bloco, EFDSS, the Royal Academy of Music and many others. Our focus is on ensuring that every child can engage with meaningful music activities in and out of school, and the primary music co-ordinator is key to achieving that goal.
