West Sussex Music is seeking a dedicated and dynamic music teacher to join a specialist team that provides high quality whole-class music tuition in schools across West Sussex.

This post may be offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following essential attributes:

  • Outstanding and creative classroom practitioner with high expectations for pupils
  • Belief in the benefits of an holistic approach to music education
  • Effective communicator with colleagues, schools and pupils
  • Highly organised, hardworking and a professional role model
  • Dedicated team player who is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
  • A positive individual who is able to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas
  • Commitment to their continuing personal learning
  • Willingness to adopt the principles of Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Simultaneous Learning

Successful applicant may additionally demonstrate the following desirable skills:

  • Be a confident instrumental performer
  • Ability to direct instrumental and/or choral ensembles
  • Knowledge of Dalcroze and Simultaneous Learning methods
