Piano and Guitar Teachers

£23.88 - £27.45 per hour

We deliver a range of teaching in schools including group/individual instrumental lessons and Wider Opportunities programmes as well as lessons and orchestras/bands/ensembles in RMT Music Centres. Previous teaching experience in a similar format would be an advantage.

We deliver a range of teaching in schools including group/individual instrumental lessons and Wider Opportunities programmes as well as lessons and orchestras/bands/ensembles in RMT Music Centres. Previous teaching experience in a similar format would be an advantage.

Applicants should preferably have taught and be happy to teach group and individual lessons to pupils from across the age range (ie academic years 2-13) and whose abilities range from beginner to grade 8. Experience of group teaching (max four per group) in a school environment/music centre and teaching on Wider Opportunities programmes is beneficial.

Applicants must be able to commit to working for 30 weeks per year (10 weeks per academic term).

In addition to the above we are looking to employ reliable, flexible and committed individuals who are good at communicating with both children and adults. Successful applicants will be subject to DBS checks.

RATES

£23.88 per hour for standard tuition

£27.45 per hour for Wider Opportunities

Teachers are paid via PAYE and receive the 30 weeks’ pay across 12 equal monthly instalments. Depending on hours, some teachers are also eligible to join the Teacher Pension Scheme.
