Peripatetic Woodwind Tutor (Saturday Music Centre)
Enfield Music Service is looking for a motivated and engaging woodwind tutor who can teach both single and double reed instruments, to join our busy Saturday Music Centre from September 2025. Teaching taking place in schools during the week may also be available.
Based at The Raglan Schools in Enfield, our Saturday Music Centre runs from 9:00 – 12:30 on Saturdays during term time, and offers a range of activities including 1:1 instrumental lessons and ensembles.
Enfield Music Service has a large number of self-employed instrumental and vocal tutors working in schools and academies throughout the borough, as well as at our Evening and Saturday Centres, delivering a range of provision including one to one and small group lessons, whole class instrumental and vocal programmes and ensemble support.
Applicants to join the Enfield Music Service tutor panel should be enthusiastic and committed teachers, with a strong playing ability, who are passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences to children and young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

From September 2025 individual and small group teaching work will be hourly paid at £31.20.
Whole class teaching work will be paid at £33.60 per hour, with an additional 30 minutes paid on top of contact time and termly planning time offered for those leading programmes.
Ensemble coaching will be paid at £33.60 per hour, with an additional 30 minutes paid on top of contact time for directors.
We recognise that tutors are the front line of our service and we provide regular paid professional development opportunities and support throughout the year, as well as mentoring for new tutors.
Enfield Music Service is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people and expects all tutors to share in this commitment. Applicants successfully added to the freelance tutor panel will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references will be taken.
