The “Peripatetic Whole Class Teacher (with KS1 Specialism)” will manage, plan and teach music, including singing assemblies, to pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 (Primary), following the National Curriculum (NC) for music as directed by Luton Music Service (LMS) senior leaders (SLT), and report on the progress made by learners in line with LMS procedures.

Our ideal candidate must have experience of teaching participatory music at KS1/2 effectively in a range of styles including National Curriculum music and have knowledge of vocal repertoire suitable for primary aged children.

Excellent communication skills are vital for this role, as you’ll need to communicate with pupils, parents and staff; and advise pupils and school music departments. This includes fluency in speaking and writing English.

We are looking for someone who has knowledge of classroom instrumental techniques and repertoire. You must have knowledge of the statutory requirements for the National Curriculum for Music. You must hold a relevant professional qualification or professional music qualification required.

Salary: Teachers Pay & Conditions UQS/MPR/UPR depending on qualifications and experience
