Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS) is seeking a permanent, full-time instrumental teacher specialising in piano/keyboard, primarily based in the Dacorum area of Hertfordshire.

The postholder will be able to commit 33 hours per week teaching time that will involve individual and small group teaching in Primary and Secondary schools, with at least one evening at the local Music centre. The postholder will be confident teaching students from beginner to post Grade 8 standard, using different genres including Classical, Jazz, Rock and Pop. As well as good knowledge of all the Music examination board syllabi, the successful candidate will have knowledge of the practical requirements for GCSE, A level and BTEC exams. Other, complimentary work may also be required, including accompaniment, and contributing to the wider work of HMS.

There is an immediate start date once all mandatory compliance checks have been completed. Job shares may be considered on a variable hour’s contract only.
