Peripatetic Music Teachers
We are seeking peripatetic and classroom specialist music teachers to deliver on one or more of our four key strands of activity.

Hillingdon Music Service delivers Whole Class, group and individual tuition to children across the second-largest London Borough. We are a thriving and expanding music hub, working as part of Hillingdon Council.
We are seeking peripatetic and classroom specialist music teachers to deliver on one or more of our four key strands of activity. Depending on the choice/skills of the postholder, these can include:
Peripatetic Teaching (for which we are seeking specialists in all instruments)
Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (teaching up to 30 primary students at a time on a particular instrument alongside school-based staff)
Sessional Curriculum Music Teaching (teaching music to whole classes as a curriculum subject)
Singing Teachers/Choir Leaders (working in schools)
All activities require the postholder to undertake preparation and planning.
Mileage is claimable for car owners. We offer sick pay and the ability to opt into a teacher’s pension.
Work will be offered on a sessional basis with hourly rates at £23.74 (non-QTS) to £26.39 (QTS).
Interviews are scheduled for w/c 5 July and will be hosted via Zoom. Candidates will be required to submit a short recorded performance before the interview.
