Orchestral Percussion Tutor
Orchestral Percussion tutor required to work at our fabulous music centre in Sale, Trafford. The role will be teaching students in small groups as well as 1-1 , plus supporting our percussion students in ensembles on a Monday and Friday evening.
Pay: UQT 3 – 6
Working Arrangement:
- 15.5 hours
- Tuesdays 4.00pm – 8.00pm
- Wednesday 4.00pm – 7.30pm
- Fridays 4.00pm – 8.30pm
- Saturdays 9.00am – 12.30 during term time
This role is for a committed and inspiring teacher to deliver individual/small group orchestral percussion and drum kit lessons to children aged 7-18 (school years 3-13) at our music centre during term time. On a Tuesday and Friday evening the role will include supporting our percussionists in our ensembles for part of the time.
The successful candidate must be able to teach pupils from beginner to Grade 8 / Diploma on Orchestral Percussion and Drum Kit, and they will join a fabulous, dedicated, and inspirational team who will support you and your professional development. They will be supported with resources and shadowing opportunities of other Trafford Music Service staff. Qualifications on Orchestral percussion – a minimum of Grade 8, is required to be shortlisted for this position. Candidates without specific training / qualifications on Orchestral percussion will not be considered.
The ability to teach another instrument, especially piano is desirable.
