Musical Director, Richmond Youth Concert Band

£30.29 hourly rate-minimum 3hrs pw

Richmond Youth Concert Band requires a Musical Director following the departure of Mr Keith Marshall after 14 years in the post. The band is of a very high standard and currently rehearses 7.00–9.00pm on Wednesday evenings in Twickenham, during term time

The successful candidate will be an excellent musician with knowledge and experience of working with wind and brass players and of the concert band repertoire. The band is supported by brass and woodwind tutors and the new director must have the high levels of energy, enthusiasm and commitment required to take the band to the next level, in particular maintaining and developing the already high standards and further raising the band’s profile, both locally and nationally.
Candidates will have overall responsibility for the band and should be available and willing to organise, programme and direct frequent and regular performances including additional rehearsals as necessary. Payment is at the hourly rate of £30.29 (minimum 3hrs per week). Extra rehearsals and performances are paid pro rata.
