Are you passionate about nurturing the next generation of young musicians?

Wandsworth Music delivers outstanding music education and performance opportunities to over 9,000 children each year. We provide inspiring pathways for young people to learn instruments, sing, perform in ensembles and choirs, collaborate with acclaimed professional musicians, and most importantly – develop a lifelong love of music.

We are seeking inspiring and enthusiastic music tutors to join our growing team and deliver lessons in schools and the Wandsworth Music Academy from September 2026.

We are particularly keen to hear from tutors with the following specialisms:

  • Primary Curriculum Music: 2-3 days teaching available from September.
  • Violin & Viola: Individual and group teaching at the Wandsworth Music Academy and schools.
  • Cello: Individual and group teaching at the Wandsworth Music Academy and schools.
  • Guitar (Rock, Pop, Jazz): Individual, group and ensemble teaching at the Wandsworth Music Academy on Saturdays (c.5hrs currently available)
  • Piano: In addition to teaching in schools, we are seeking accompanists for ABRSM exams, vocal projects, choirs and musical theatre.
  • Woodwind: Especially first-study flute and bassoon players.

We would love to hear from you if you’re:

  • A highly skilled musician with a love for teaching
  • Passionate about inspiring young people of all abilities and backgrounds
  • Flexible, and willing to teach in a range of settings, including whole class, small group and 1-1
  • Highly organised, proactive and reliable
  • A strong and confident communicator with both children and adults

These are PAYE positions. The rate of pay includes holiday pay and eligibility to join the workplace pension scheme.
