£11.05 - £17.51 per hour depending on experience

We are seeking a number of assistant tutors to work with a lead teacher in whole class lessons, after school and holiday clubs. There may also be some time available to support our administrator from time to time to increase the time available. The successful applicants will have the following attributes:

  • The ability to read music, to play an instrument and to sing in tune and with enjoyment
  • Have experience of, and enthusiasm for working with young children aged 3 – 11 in community or school settings in Slough or similar communities
  • A willingness to work with and learn to teach music as part of a team
  • Local experience and knowledge of Slough communities and cultures
  • Aspiration to learn more about how children and young people progress in music education
  • The ability to maintain high professional standards at all times including excellent timekeeping, timesheet and register administration, clear and timely communication with schools, parents, students and the music service.

We organise regular CPD sessions to support career development and encourage all staff to further their career through additional training. Applicants must be able and willing to travel between venues across Slough. All staff are subject to Slough Borough Council safe recruitment protocols, pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check and following up of all references.
