Suitably qualified and experienced freelance tutors needed to deliver music tuition to Cumberland school pupils in whole class tuition and small group instrumental tuition in strings, guitars, brass, percussion and woodwind.

We have an increased demand for lessons across the Cumberland area, particularly in the West, and our aim is to inspire pupils of all ages to develop involvement in music. Our lessons form part of our progression strategy, from Whole Class Tuition, to 1-1/group lesson, and hopefully then onto an ensemble group.

To apply, you will have an enthusiastic and energetic approach and an open mind to learning new techniques and approaches. QTS is not required, although experience of teaching is, along with evidence of suitable Instrumental Grade/Qualifications. and the ability to teach more than one instrument or instrumental family is desirable. You will also be computer literate with experience of using music technology, with good organisational skills.

Please note this is a self-employed role payable at £34 per hour, and may involve teaching at several schools in one day. We are looking for start dates of September 2024 in the main, but some could start earlier.
