We are looking for an excellent classroom Music Teacher to join our outstandingly rated specialist day and residential school for boys (10-19) with high functioning ASC. Small classes (up to 6) teaching KS3 and BTEC Music Level 2.

We have a vacancy for a Music Teacher – permanent and part time (0.2 – 0.4 FTE per week)

Swalcliffe Park School is a non-maintained Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) specialising in day and residential education and care for high functioning students with ASC (10-19 yrs). We currently have 71 students on role and have been judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for both Education (2019) and Residential Care (2019). The school also has Advanced Level Autism Accreditation and an Enhanced Practitioner Commendation.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher of Music to join our outstanding multi-disciplinary team and build on the excellent foundations of Music curriculum best practice established by the current postholder. Previous experience of working with this population is desirable but not essential. We are looking for a passionate and versatile specialist music teacher, who is keen to develop their practice within our Quality of Life framework. The following skills and experience are of interest to us:
• KS3 timetabled music lessons in small groups of no more than six students;
• Being able to deliver Level 2 BTEC Music; and
• Being able to liaise and organise individual music lessons for Education Day & Residential students

Our maximum class size is six students to two adults in all teaching roles. The behaviour and engagement of students is exceptional. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop and broaden their experience or portfolio of teaching work. So, if you have a:

Teacher’s terms and conditions: Main or Upper Pay Scale 1 or 2 plus SEN allowance 1 or 2 depending on experience and or qualifications. Teacher’s pension and a range of additional benefits.
