£37,858 - £43,387 per annum

You will support schools from all sectors in their provision for and delivery of music education by providing guidance and advice on best practice. You should have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and of the standards required in schools for this subject. You will also have knowledge of the current national picture for music education and an appreciation of the challenges to schools and teachers.

The post will lead a team of tutors to promote and develop and improve the standards of provision and teaching of music through Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (WCET) and small / large group tuition. As a manager you will need to work with the leadership team to ensure GM meets the required aims, core and extension roles of the National Plan for Music Education (NPME) and help to collectively achieve the service’s strategic objectives.
