Following the upcoming retirement of our current Music Service and Music Education Hub Manager, the rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to lead the strategic planning and development of the Music Service and Music Education Hub Partnership.
This is a permanent post based on the continuation of funding from Arts Council England.
This is currently a work from home role although there are office locations available around the county and within the main administration base in Workington which includes the instrument resource store. Regular visits to schools, partners, and events around Cumbria and beyond are part of this role.
The post-holder will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and will need to have a driving licence/access to transport to fulfil the role.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced candidate, with significant and successful current experience of working in or with peripatetic teaching staff in a music or other setting. You will need exceptional communication skills, and bring an innovative, dynamic approach to developing and overseeing the service and MEH partnership.
The current postholder is taking flexible retirement and will work for two days per week once the new postholder commences employment in order to support them through induction and handover of Music Service and MEH responsibilities. For an informal discussion regarding this role, please contact Simon Yeo (current post holder) on email@example.com (Available after w/c 1st September)
Due to the coronavirus, we are operating virtual interviews. Options will be discussed with candidates once they have been invited to the interview stage of the process, and if you have any concerns or adjustments are needed, we are happy to discuss.
