Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you want to be part of a creative, ambitious and inspiring organisation that helps thousands of children and young people discover, develop and thrive through music?
Bolton Music Service is seeking enthusiastic, talented and committed individuals to join our team in three exciting roles. Whether you’re an experienced administrator, someone who enjoys supporting the smooth running of events and resources, or a creative individual looking to begin a career in marketing, we have opportunities to be part of a service that transforms lives through music.
Every day, our team supports children and young people to access high-quality musical opportunities, develop confidence, make lasting friendships and achieve their potential. If you’re organised, proactive, positive and enjoy working with people, we’d love to hear from you.
Administrator
Help keep our Music Service running smoothly and efficiently.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive administrator to become an integral part of our team. Working alongside the Business Development Officer and colleagues across the service, you’ll support the day-to-day operation of a busy and successful music service, coordinating meetings and events, managing information, supporting financial processes and providing excellent customer service.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting things done, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage a variety of responsibilities. You’ll have strong administrative and IT skills, excellent attention to detail and a natural ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, schools, families and partners. Most importantly, you’ll bring enthusiasm, initiative and a collaborative approach to supporting a service that changes young lives through music.
Music Centre and Resource Assistant
Be at the heart of our Music Centres and support young musicians to succeed.
As our Music Centre and Resource Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our evening Music Centres and Saturday morning sessions run safely and efficiently. You’ll be the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment where young people can flourish.
Alongside supporting the operation of our centres, you’ll coordinate instruments and resources, maintain stock and equipment records, support centre activities and help ensure resources are available where and when they are needed. You’ll also take responsibility for the secure opening and closing of sites and help maintain safe, well-organised facilities.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service and has a practical, organised and proactive approach. You’ll be comfortable working independently, able to manage competing priorities and committed to helping create outstanding musical experiences for children and young people.
Marketing and Social Media Apprentice
Start your marketing career while helping inspire the next generation of musicians.
Are you creative, full of ideas and passionate about social media, content creation and digital storytelling? This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on marketing experience while studying towards a recognised Level 3 Marketing and Social Media Apprenticeship.
Working across Bolton Music Service and the Greater Manchester Music Hub, you’ll help tell the stories of the incredible young people, teachers, ensembles and projects that make our organisation so special. You’ll create engaging content, support campaigns, promote concerts and events, capture photography and video content, and help grow our online presence across a range of digital platforms.
We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn. You may already enjoy creating content, designing graphics, making videos or managing social media accounts. You’ll have strong communication skills, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in music, arts, culture or working with young people.
Please note: The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Level 3 Marketing and Social Media Apprenticeship. Applicants must not already hold a qualification or apprenticeship in Marketing, Social Media or a related subject at Level 3 or above.
