Music Engagement Officer – Strings (Upper with some Knowledge of Lower)

Coventry Music are looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate music educator to grow our string playing opportunities for children and young people across the city. This will be through a variety of teaching and supporting our tutor team across the city.

For a full time member of the team there will be an expectation to deliver music provision for 20 hours per week in Coventry Schools and at music centres – with a focus on building string tuition and developing new pathways for string players.  You would also be leading our central string groups that rehearse out of school hours and working with the regional groups from the whole hub area.

Initially this post is funded until Summer 2027 and will be reviewed alongside the Music Hub Investment Process to continue into Autumn 2027 and beyond.

We are open to flexible working arrangements including part time.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
