Following a retirement within our team, we are seeking an experienced teacher with management and coaching skills to lead our ‘Encore Music Service’ provision, a professional who will have responsibility for overseeing all of our work in schools. This post will work alongside our other operational manager who has responsibility for all of our services outside of schools (ensembles and adult services).

The main areas of the role include:• overseeing our peripatetic instrumental and vocal tuition scheme in schools and supporting/quality assuring our freelance Accredited Teachers• overseeing our wider opportunities (whole class ensemble) offer to schools in schools and supporting/quality assuring/leading our team of employed tutors• overseeing and devising additional services to schools e.g. one-off projects and singing strategy etc.• delivering support to schools to help them develop their music provision, including planning network meetings and CPD opportunities

This is a key management post within Encore and we would like to appoint a colleague who offers a coaching style in supporting both our own teachers and when working with schools. Experience of lesson observations, line-management and delivering/devising training would all be advantageous.

Encore offers attractive flexible working arrangements with a contract of 0.8 Term Time (+ 1 flexible week out of term time). The full time equivalent salary is 39K rising to 42K. The pro-rata remuneration would be in the range of (28-30K). The position is offered on a permanent contract, with a start date of 1st September or after this by negotiation. The postholder will be required to travel throughout the county. Encore Enterprises has a Safer Recruitment policy and ALL successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
