The M.O. of our Learning & Participation department is to engage in activities where NYJO can really make a difference; whether in national music hubs, schools, universities, music venues or community centres; the goal is to strengthen progression routes, enhance local provision, and create new opportunities where there previously were none.
In 2021, we aim to become a more creative and ambitious charity that better reflects the contemporary jazz landscape, the eclectic mix of artists within it, and the audiences that support their work. We’re looking for a team of truly inspirational music directors to develop the skills and confidence of the passionate young musicians who attend the NYJO Academy every week.
