Wandsworth Schools’ Music Service is one of London’s leading music education providers. Through its team of 150 professional staff, it ensures Wandsworth’s children and young people have access to an exceptional range of opportunities to learn musical instruments; sing; perform in ensembles and choirs; and progress to new levels of musical excellence.
Wandsworth Schools’ Music Service seeks an Orchestra and Events administrator with experience of high level orchestral playing to join our expanding team:
To act as orchestral assistant and librarian for the Wandsworth Music Academy’s growing range of youth ensembles (currently three symphony orchestras; two jazz orchestras; and wind, strings and brass chamber groups)
To administrate all aspects of the annual diary of events which include annual performances at prestigious venues including London’s Royal Festival Hall, the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships and annual European concert tours.
Flexible working is a prerequisite of the job: the post holder will be required to prioritise their diary to attend all major events as notified in the advance music service diary. This will include evening, weekend and extended days of working and may include the opportunity to travel on foreign tours with music service ensembles.
