The Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership, the lead organisation of the Derbyshire Music Education Hub, wishes to appoint an experienced music teacher to co-ordinate and lead music education development in the north west of Derbyshire.

Salary Details: Soulbury Payscale 9-11 £43,256 – £45,655 (+SPAs per annum)
Job Term: Full Time
Appointment Type: Fixed Term Contract – Due to finite funding, until end of March 2020
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership is lead partner of the Derbyshire Music Education Hub, working alongside other local and national organisations to deliver joined up, high quality music education in and out of school.

We wish to appoint, from January 2018, an experienced and enthusiastic musician to the post of Leader of Music Development for North West Derbyshire.

You will be responsible for:

-Raising standards of teaching and learning in
instrumental/vocal tuition and ensemble activities;

-Assisting in the quality assurance, mentoring and support of
instrumental teachers and promoting good practice;

-Providing support and challenge to a range of professionals
including Headteachers, Class Teachers, Instrumental Teachers and visiting artists, in order to raise standards;

-Leading the development of the core and extension
roles National Plan for Music Education in the Peak District,
Derbyshire Dales and North West Derbyshire area.
